If you were ever a follower of TRVL 101, this post is for you.

Years ago I maintained a blog, TRVL 101, where I documented my movements for friends and family to follow along. At my peak, I was taking at least one international trip a year, plus numerous domestic trips. I was lucky to have so much content to blog about but unfortunately, as with most things, life got in the way and I wasn’t able to keep up.

After graduating from Mary Wash, Maggie and I packed up our stuff and transplanted west to Seattle where I attended graduate school at UW. Two years later, post graduation, we returned eastward. Now in Chicago, Maggie and I both started new careers. Then COVID. Everything shut down and what little travel there was now vanished. After two years in Chicago, we took this new opportunity to continue our journey further east, now living in Fredericksburg, both of us working remote in the town we fell in love in.

I’ve skimmed over so much of the past four years. Highlights include adopting Rooney, getting married, and buying a house. All this to say we’ve been movin’ and groovin’ without a doubt.

Now that we’re settled and traveling is picking up, I reckon it’s time to get back on the blog grind. I hope you all still enjoy following along as you once did, and I hope I’m able to share some amazing stories of journeys to come.
